Talking with Experts

As CAIR4HEALTH will specifically address the needs of strategic initiatives highlighted by the EU Commission, it will be important to have direct interaction with key experts and advisors which represent these key areas. The precise composition of the proposed expert panel will be decided through discussions with the EU Commission. In addition to representatives of Environment and Health Action Plan (E&HAP), Environmental Technologies Action Plan (ETAP), Thematic Strategy on the Urban Environment (TSUE) and CAFE (Clean Air for Europe), the Panel will include experts/advisors from the European Environment Agency (EEA), World Health Organisation (WHO) and a representative of the research community on environmental and health impacts.  The broad representation of the panel membership will provide an extensive base of advice and interaction ensuring that the outcomes of the project are relevant to all key stakeholders.

The Panel will meet with the consortium partners at least once per year although more frequent meetings will be arranged if required. The panel will have specific remit to ensure that the work conducted by the consortium directly meets the needs of the policy areas. Dialogue with the Panel will be particularly important during the first phase of the project through WP2 which will define the scope and remit of WP3-5 in relation to the strategies and action plans of the EU Commission.
